What if we showed up for one reason and one reason only? What if that reason was to remember who we really are? What if, before we showed up, we made a conscious decision to come here and be in a place of forgetting. Why would we do that?

Some say we did that so we could experience the joy of remembering! How much simpler and more profound can it be? Absence makes the heart grow fonder? Maybe it’s like that. We decided to experience lack so we could remember how great it is to not experience lack. Lack of knowing who we really are.

Who we really are must be amazing. Especially if we agreed to come here and go through all this incredible bullshit. I don’t know about you but I’m ready to remember more and more of who I really am. And I’m wanting to do it faster and faster.

The ride is over and I’d like to get off and go back home.

082 DSR – Paper & Ink

January 30, 2013 — 2 Comments

paper-ink

What is it about paper and ink that fascinates us? What do you mean, Greg, paper and ink? I’m talking about laws. Laws start out as bills and eventually become a piece of paper with ink that government says you now are subject to obeying. If you don’t obey, you pay. Right?

So it stands to reason the more laws they write the more they can get you to pay. What does government do? It creates pieces of paper called laws. Every year they create more and more and more of these pieces of paper. And government keeps getting bigger and bigger. And you keep losing more and more of your freedom.

Why do we think we need things written on paper in order to live our lives? I hear you saying, “Without laws we’d live in total chaos.” Really? What about the laws of nature? What about the laws of the universe? They aren’t written on a piece of paper. They stand the test of time because we are able to observe them in action in nature over and over again. They are reliable and observable by everyone on the planet, regardless of culture or government. They are equally as unforgiving as they are generous.

Take a look at this system of government that’s choking the planet. It creates pieces of paper that tell you how you can and can’t live your life. And you pay for it in the form of taxation. Government doesn’t produce anything other than pieces of paper. And remember, behind every piece of paper (law) there’s a gun. A gun ready to take by force your time or money.

What other pieces of paper with ink do we see that have made life on this planet miserable? Look around you. Money is used to control everything. What is money? Paper with ink on it. Gotta have some, gotta have more, gotta “make” more. Right?

We don’t need pieces of paper to live our lives in harmony with each other. You showed up in this world with nothing in your pockets and you’ll leave this world the same. In the final analysis you can’t take anything with you. That includes pieces of paper whether they are laws or bills known as currency or money.

Liquid gold. Pure water. Distilled water. The Fountain of Youth.

Is it possible the fountain of youth doesn’t need to be found? What if it already exists within each human being? What if we each possess the key to long, healthy, vibrant life but have been distracted from this truth?

I’m committed to drinking a gallon of distilled water a day. Take the plunge. See what happens. Prove them wrong if you’re a skeptic. I don’t know about you but I like to be a bit of a guinea pig and experiment with new ideas if they ring true.

forever-stamp

Wake up America. You’ve slept in a TV entranced, pop-culture orgy of a stupor too long. See the track marks on your arms from needles of hyper consumerism? See the dark circles under your eyes from lack of sleep? You struggle to stay awake in your hideous nightmare of plastic existence you mistakenly call life.

Your intellectual womb polluted, you’ve forgotten how to produce anything of beauty. Blinded by the razor scalpel of misguided self sacrifice, you can’t see your folly.

Outsourcing
You’ve outsourced the right of passage of live birth to surgeons, outsourced the raising of your children to strangers in public education, outsourced care of your elderly to nursing homes, and outsourced the right of passage of burying your dead to funeral homes.

You’ve outsourced your relationship with God to churches, pastors, & gurus. And you wonder why you feel disconnected.

Identity
Addicted to a false sense of identity perpetuated by imperialism, you disguise it as patriotism. Others die globally at the hands of your war machine. Both you and your elected leaders lack the guts to spill innocent blood yourselves. You pay hired soldiers to do the dirty work for you and worship them for doing their “duty.”

You cloak yourself in the American flag to stay warm and safe from what’s really happening around you.

Are you evil or a sinner? No. You’re a magnificent spiritual being who remains in a state of amnesia. Something inside you tells you things aren’t right. Something inside you screams at the top of it’s lungs to rise above the smoke of lies and deceit. You crave to once again breathe the fresh air of your natural being. You desperately want to be set free from a prison you’ve unwittingly constructed with your own mind.

The only crisis you suffer is one of identity. You don’t know who you are anymore. Not only have you forgotten who you are, you’ve forgotten that you’ve forgotten.

You’re already free. You just don’t know it yet. You’re too busy blaming while you give your power away to people you call politician, white, black or foreigner.

You will allow others to abuse you only slightly more than you abuse yourself. Your body is a vessel, not a temple to be worshipped. Stop butchering yourself with breast enhancements, nose jobs, and liposuction.

Responsibility
The time has come to stop breast feeding on ignorance and misguided ego. No one in this life owes you a damn thing. Stop waiting for your check to come in the mail. Government and lawyers aren’t your saviors. You are your savior.

You don’t owe anyone anything America. Stop soothing your guilt with self hate. The time has come to eat the solid food of personal responsibility. Clean up your own mess as you go along. Don’t expect your children to do it. No one can do your work for you.

Money
Standard of living is not the same as quality of life. Money doesn’t create consciousness. Consciousness creates money. Your checkbook is a window to your soul. Where you spend your money tells the world what is most important to you. Your greatest currency is love. Learn to give it and you’ll feel deserving to receive it.

Spirituality
Question everything you’ve ever been taught, including religion. It is your source of spiritual bondage. God is too big to fit into one belief system.

You’re already on God’s “A” list due to the fact you showed up on planet earth. Stop seeking approval from God and your fellow human beings. Until you learn to love yourself, you will never rise above your current level of consciousness.

You are not afraid of dying. You are afraid of living.

God created man in it’s own image. You are a part of God and freedom is your birthright. You are powerful beyond measure. Start acting like it.

color blind

Getting rid of debt isn’t the only thing we can shed to live happier, simpler lives. We can get rid of some old ideas as well.

I was recently a caller on an online radio show called Ms. Cyndi. Click the play button above to listen in on some of that conversation. It speaks to how we label each other and how destructive it can be. The conversation also covers solutions.

We use a lot of labels to categorize people, places, and things. One of the most troubling labels we use is skin color. It causes division, friction, and a lot of heartache in our world. The cause of defining people by skin color is simple: Ignorance.

We can end racism now. We have to stop thinking we are the color of our skin. That goes for the oppressor and the oppressed. Finger pointing perpetuates the problem. God is no respector of color and isn’t narrow minded. We shouldn’t be either.

You are so much more than what shows up on the outside. You have power beyond measure. Everything we use as a label hides the true light that is within us waiting to shine out into the world.

I recently had the honor of being a guest on a radio show out of the Washington, DC area. What a treat this was! Amazing host and co-hosts. The shows’s content is described as: “Writer and executive producer Robert Wesley Branch anchors this weekly conversation, covering news and politics, entertainment and lifestyle topics.”

The show topic was The Metaphysics of Money. The question arose, naturally, of how to manifest more money into your life. The answer given is quite the opposite of what you might be used to hearing.

Remember to first be absolutely clear on what it is you are bringing into our life. And then look at what you can get rid of (subtract) before you draw something new into your experience. Why?

If we’re unhappy with what we already have, we’ll very likely be unhappy with anything new that shows up. If you’re already happy with what you have you won’t go chasing what you think you need. This is truly life’s greatest paradox and one of life’s toughest lessons.

Robert Wesley Branch is a talented radio host and excellent interviewer, among other things. I recommend you visit his website and absorb the essence of his message. Visit his YouTube page. His videos are unique, personal, and bring a spiritual thread to his message that is intimate and speaks clearly to the viewer.

I was recently a caller on an internet radio show. The guest happened to be Keith Douglas. He’s the author of the book The Power to Get Wealth: No Money Required. I got to interact with both he and the host Jay King.

I came away with knowing how important it is that we define what wealth means to us. We spend most our lives chasing it in some form or fashion. So wouldn’t it make sense to clearly define what it is we’re spending so much time/effort pursuing?

The cool thing about the book title is that is mentions “No Money Required.” The secret to wealth is pretty simple. Wealth isn’t money, or possessions, or stuff. Wealth is inside you. It’s knowing who you really are. It’s knowing where your true source of abundance comes from. This is regardless of your religion. We all come from the same place.

Questions:
What does wealth mean?
How do I define it?
Why am I pursuing it?

Action:
Define wealth, write it down.
Ask yourself, “Whose definition of wealth am I pursuing?”
