It’s spring time. Let’s learn how to avoid home repair scams. Here’s a few of the top 10 red flags to look out for:

1. Contractors who appear uninvited at your doorstep or who call or email you out of the blue.
2. The contractor says they are doing work in your neighborhood and claims they have “extra material”
left over
3. You feel pressured to make a decision and sign a contract for the work immediately
